Refund and Exchange Policy

At Amelie Design, every product is carefully made with love in our UK workshop. Many of
our items are handcrafted or made to order, and we take great pride in quality and
craftsmanship.
Please read our refund and exchange policy before placing your order.


Standard (Non-Bespoke) Products

If you have purchased a standard, non-bespoke item, you have the right to cancel your order
within 14 days of receiving your goods, in line with UK distance selling regulations.

To be eligible for a return:

• The item must be unused and in its original condition
• The product must be returned in its original packaging where possible
• You must notify us in writing within 14 days of delivery

Once approved and inspected, a refund will be processed to your original payment method.

Please note: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrect.

We recommend using a tracked and insured delivery service.


Bespoke & Made-to-Order Products

Many Amelie Design products are made to order or bespoke, including customised sizes, colours, laser-cut wording, branding, or specially commissioned pieces.
As these products are manufactured specifically for you, we are unable to offer refunds, returns, or exchanges on bespoke or made-to-order items, unless:
The item arrives damaged in transit
The product is faulty
We have made an error with your order

This does not affect your statutory rights.


Damaged in Transit

We ask that all deliveries are checked as soon as possible after arrival.
If your item has been damaged during transit:

• Please notify us within 48 hours of delivery
• Send photographs of the packaging and damage
• Do not dispose of the packaging until we have reviewed the claim

Where damage is confirmed, we will repair, replace, or refund the affected item where
appropriate.


Powder-Coated Finishes & Product Care

Our products are manufactured using high-quality powder-coated finishes designed for
durability and outdoor use.

To help maintain your product:
• Products should be cleaned and maintained in accordance with our care guidance
• Harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning methods, pressure washing, neglect, accidental
damage, environmental conditions, or misuse may affect the finish over time.

As we cannot control how products are maintained after delivery, we cannot offer refunds, replacements, or exchanges for paint fading, surface wear, scratches, chips, cracking, corrosion caused by damage to the coating, or finish deterioration occurring after installation or use.

Natural wear over time and environmental exposure are not considered manufacturing faults.


Faulty or Incorrect Items

In the unlikely event your item arrives faulty or you receive the wrong product, please contact
us as soon as possible at hi@amelie-design.co.uk with:
• Your order number
• A description of the issue
• Supporting photographs

We will work with you quickly to resolve the matter.

Colour & Finish Disclaimer

We do our best to accurately display colours online. Due to screen settings and lighting, slight
variations in colour appearance may occur.
As all items are manufactured and finished individually, minor variations are part of the
character of bespoke metal craftsmanship.
